Green Protein Smoothie

Yield: 2 (2 1/4 cup) servings

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups pineapple juice
  • 1 banana, peeled
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1 scoop protein powder
  • 2 cups ice cubes
Directions:
  1. Place all ingredients in blender.  Blend until smooth.  Serve immediately.

What type of protein power do you use now?

Wow! Sorry I'm such a slacker! To answer your question, we just buy the vanilla protein powder that Costco sells. They recently changed brands, but it was the big purple bag. I don't think it matters what brand, find one you like the taste of. Vanilla works best because it can be blended into so many different smoothie recipes... it is a great base for just about any fruit blend. My current favorite blend isn't a green smoothie, though. It's vanilla protein powder, sweet dark cherries (frozen food section of the grocery store), vanilla yogurt (greek or not), and a splash of lime juice. So yummy! Good luck, Brett!
